Blue Ribbon Kids Constitution

           

            Article I-Name

                        Section 1.  Name of 4-H Club shall be Blue Ribbon Kids.

            Article II-Purpose

                        The primary purposes of this 4-H Club shall be:

1.        To develop leadership.

2.        To strengthen the confidence of members in their ability and in their work.

3.        To encourage public speaking skills.

4.        To encourage development in individual project areas.

Article III-Membership

Membership is for youth in kindergarten to 18 years of age and has not passed his or her 19th birthday on January 1 of the current year.

            Article IV-Officers, Duties, Terms

Section 1.  The officers of the 4-H Club shall consist of:  President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, News Reporter, Recreation, Health, Safety, Energy, Litter, Historian, Inspiration, and Environmental.

Section 2.  The candidates for President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer must be 12 as of January 1 of current year, no age requirements for other offices.

                        Section 3.  The duties of the officers shall be defined in the by-laws.

            Article V-Meetings

One regular annual achievement meeting will be held.  All other meetings shall be called as specified in the by-laws.

            Article VI-Amendments

Amendments to the Constitution shall be made by a 2/3 majority vote of the 4-H Club members present at any regularly called meeting, provided an announcement about the purposed constitutional change was made at the previous scheduled meeting.
